Weird thought!
I get several fashion magazines. I have for YEARS!!!! But never have I seen a piece of clothing in both the magazine AND the store. Strange, huh?

well i guess it depends on which mags you get
if you buy Vogue or Elleeven most of Marie Claire...they show high fashion designers mostly..
Or from the designers high priced lines
Malls and stores do not carry those lines because there are few people who are going to pay 1200 for a skirt.
Mags like Cosmo, Lucky and some of Marie Claire...are in stores

It is strange. One time a few months back I saw this shirt in Lucky that they said came from the Gap. I went to no joke 5 Gaps to get this damn shirt and nobody knew what the hell shirt I was talking about....urghhhhh
I gave up on it and found a similar one from BR instead.

No, your totally right. I gave up on finding things in magazines. I think they just do it to get you into the store and hope you buy something.
I am tired of cutting out all these magazine ads hoping to find something. I used to cut out tons and bring it shopping with me, but coincedentally I could never find that particular color lipstick or whatever they are talking about.

Now I just use the pics for ideas for outfits. I know I'll find the trends anywhere really, so I hit the stores I know. But it happens with makeup/skin care, too. They'll promote a new mascara, but I won't see it for 5 months.

I have seen a few cute items in Cosmo or other mags that I want and scour the internet for them. Often they are sold out by the time I find them (probably due to the magazine promoting them).
