Coxsackie -- update
Just found out DS has coxsackie and it's looking like I now have the beginning of the virus at 21 weeks. Google is giving me hope and crushing my soul at the same time. Anyone here have coxsackie while pregnant? Any stories to share?
Dr said there is nothing we can do because it's viral. I haven't felt baby move in 2 weeks (felt some flutters 17-19 weeks and then nothing 20-21). Going in for sono tonight and expecting the worst. I've been having terrible back pain, some abdominal cramping, and a dull ache in my vagina/above for the past few days. DS got sick Thursday. He's constantly sticking his fingers in my mouth, so I feel like that's how I got it.
I feel like I'm rambling. I'm just a nervous wreck...
-------------------------------------------------- So I went to the dr tonight and got a sono. Baby looks great. He wants me to come back in 2 weeks for another sono to make sure everything is still good. There is a very small chance that the baby could develop anemia because of the coxsackie and an even smaller chance that the baby could die because of it. He just wants to monitor and said he only told me of those small chances because he doesn't want to lie to me. But he says it is very probable that nothing will be wrong.
I'm so relieved.

Re: Coxsackie
DD was exposed so I asked at my last OB appointment bc I knew she would get it. My doctor said it's not one to be very concerned over like fifths. Hope all goes well tonight, try not to stress too much.

This was my understanding as well. I used to work in a preschool, basically with all women, so someone was always pregnant and of course kids were always sick. Coxsackie wasn't one of the illnesses that were of great concern to the pregnant women. I am sorry you haven't been feeling well. I hope your appointment goes well and you get reassuring news!

I agree with the pp's! Try not to google too much and best wishes tonight at the OB. I'm sure everything will be okay!
