Website for fun 5K's?
Last year I remember asking and someone posting a site to find all different races/5K's around LI/NYC. ANybody know where I could find this? I'm into mud runs, glow runs, etc. Nothing too crazy, I'm so not a runner but the fun 5K's motivate me! TIA!

Good luck! I couldn't make it through it. Got through week 4 and gave up .It just felt so unnatural for me lol. DH did it and loved it. We are doing the Survival Race out east in September. Did it last year and had a lot of fun. I may also do the Color Vibe at Eisenhower Park on Sept. 6th.

I usually check this site first for races on Long Island
http://www.glirc.org/events.php
You can also check active.com - I'm pretty sure there's a feature on there where you can filter races by location and distance (i.e. 5K, 10K, half marathon, etc.)
