Did you call your insurance to tell them you are pregnant?
I didn't even think to do this...

Re: Did you call your insurance complain to tell them you are pregnant?
The only place I called was the hospital benefit number to tell them my due date so i could get pre-approval for the hospital stay.

Re: Did you call your insurance complain to tell them you are pregnant?
I didn't, once they started getting regular bills for tests and sonos from my ob I think they got the hint, and sent me a paper saying congratulations.

Re: Did you call your insurance to tell them you are pregnant?
my OB automatically filed for a pre-approval on all maternity services, including delivery, on my behalf. I received a letter from insurance out of the blue that my OB had submitted documentation with my EDD on it and that it was approved.

Nope, never called... They've been paying for everything so far as well.

i filled out a registration form for the hospital at my doctor's office, but haven't received anything from my insurance yet.

I only pre registered for delivery. Make sure you do this or they can deny this claim.

Re: Did you call your insurance to tell them you are pregnant?
I spoke with our insurance company to give them info about the hospital where I will be delivering and my due date. Some doctors' offices do it for you, but it's always wise to double check. The fact that insurance is paying for prenatal care doesn't have anything to do with the hospital preauthorization.

Re: Did you call your insurance to tell them you are pregnant?
I didn't need to, they figured out I was pregnant based on all the claims. I did call just to reconfirm that my doctor was in network and same for the hospital (just in case).
I also pre-registered w/ the hospital, which will save some time for day of.

Did you call your insurance to tell them you are pregnant?
Dr Cohen's office had me fill out my preregistration during one of my 1st appointments. When I did call, insurance said they were already aware.
