So, my a$$ of a boss (the doctor I work for) decided to RAISE the temperature on the air conditioner to 74*... basically ensuring that the AC remained OFF and that the temp hit 80* in here... I am so hot it's making me super cranky! I couldn't believe he did that. As it is when you put the temp to 68* it barely drops down to 75*.

I did, I put it down to 60*, the issue is once it is off and gets hot, it doesn't cool off... just not a nice day today for me in general, lol... what can you do but laugh?

That is weird that it works that way. Isn't the point of setting the temp so that the AC runs until it gets down to that temp then shuts off until it raises again?

Setting the AC to 74 just means the temp in the office should stay at 74. If it got to 80 I'd be calling someone to service the unit.

Yeah, it's been serviced about 6 times in the last 2 years... it needs to be replaced, but that's not going to happen, lol.

74? 74? that's HEAT. In the winter I don't even put the heat up to 74. My family freaks on me becuse it's soooo cold in my house. They keep thinking the kids are gong to get sick.
You could sit buck naked on a block of ice and not get sick...

I know!!! I'm the same way!!!
I just called the service guy because it's just ridiculous, I set it to 68* and it's not moving from 77*... it's not even that hot out! I told the doc it's just not working and put my foot down.
