Bus?
I'm posting like crazy today :) did any of you utilize the bus service when placing your child in center based program? My first thought was no way, no how, but now that I am thinking about it, and remembering last winter, I am thinking maybe I should do it...anyone btdt?

Re: Bus?
Thanks :) my kiddo will be 2.5. I am transitioning him early. He is a triplet and life is crazy as I am sure you can appreciate! I figure if all 3 can get the bus (integrated program) I'll hold my breath and do it. But I don't know if my two typical kiddos will qualify for the bus in which case I'll just drive them. The bus is simultaneously a terrifying yet thrilling proposition!

Bus?
I have my DS on the bus. He is going to be 3 in Sept and has been taking the bus to DDI since December. We have had no problems. There is a matron who helps him on the bus and into the car seat. I originally was going to drive him, but time management wise it was better for me to use the bus. It helps to keep the morning running smoothly for us. And he looks forward to the bus coming. Had no problems through the winter at all.

Re: Bus?
My DS started riding the bus at 2. It was probably the thing I worried about the most, since he couldn't tell me if anything happened. I had no choice because he was in an afternoon, 1/2 day program and I work FT. He was picked up and dropped off at daycare. It turned out that he loved riding the bus and we had good experiences for the most part with the drivers and the matrons.

I also wanted to add that when we started using the bus, the drivers contacted me and provided me with their cell phone #'s. That way if he was not going to school I could let them know. They also did trial runs of the route and I knew in advance what time he would be picked up. It varies by about 5 minutes either way. He gets dropped at a family member but they did the same thing for that.

Re: Bus?
yes. My son rode the bus at age 2. I was a nervous wreck, but it was the best thing. He loves the bus.

Bus?
My son rides the bus at 3 years old. I was very nervous about it and the first morning I cried, but he did not! He can not wait to get on the bus everyday. He loves it! I will always be somewhat nervous about it, but I worry about a lot of things and this will just be one of those things.
