Self rising flour vs. all purpose flour
...is there a difference? I'm making peach cobble and the recipe calls for self rising flour. I didn't know if there was a difference but I have regular flour. Can I add something to make up the difference or do I really need to get self rising flour? Thanks

Re: Self rising flour vs. all purpose flour
I believe self rising had baking powder added to it, AP flour has nothing added you have to add the rising agent

To make self-raising flour follow this recipe:

If the recipe calls for self-raising flour, you can't really substitute AP flour.
