Winthrop Perinatal - any particular dr you like?
I think I'm going for a consult with them, unless the baby comes first Any Dr's you would recommend? I know I like Muscat, but I might go with another depending on availability.
Also, anyone know the best time to call? I keep getting the machine and I remember that being a problem last pregnancy too.

I;m sure the doctors know what they are talking about but its a horrible office IMO, its like being in a clinic. I had nothing but trouble. The nurses cant seem to get things right. You are taken care of by a medical student, resident and fellow and see the MD for two seconds.
We had to go here for a few follow up sonograms and bloodwork. While I did feel it was run like a clinic, dr. Chavez was really great, honest, but reassuring.

I'm not saying the doctors are not good, I'm sure they are. I didn't like the clinic aspect, which I was not told before hand, the wait time of 2 plus hours, and they (in general) kept making mistakes.

I have been to this office for each of my level 2 sono's and I have had a good experience each time. Dr. Chavez was great and there is an older lady Dr. (can't remember her name) there that is also very good. I have never been to a clinic so I can't compare but I believe it needs to be run a certain way to protect the privacy and ensure the respect of many of their patients. I did wait a long time for my appt. with dc#2 but I realize that they handle a lot of emergency appointments and deal with a lot of very tragic situations. I didn't mind waiting because in the end they were thorough and didn't rush me out the door.

I thought Dr. Rafael was very cute too.
I don't agree about the nurses though. I had one that was absolutely horrible, and I refused to go back to the office because of her. Dr. Chavez had to meet me in front of the building and walk me into a different area so I wouldn't have to see her. I regret not filing a formal complaint about her.

Would love to hear that story lol! Last pregnancy I had to go there, but mostly only saw sono techs. There was a medical assistant that I felt didn't follow good procedures with blood and a nurse that I could see might rub some people wrong.
