First Gifts for Baby Boy
My MIL, who is living in Hong Kong now (and will be for the foreseeable future) sent DH and I an email overnight that she bought a bunch of things for baby boy. She included 3 pictures as a sample and I can't get over how adorable everything is!!! She will be shipping them to us, I can't wait for them to arrive so I can look at it all. Baby boy is going to be so spoiled!

Thats exciting! Are you gonna visit Hong Kong one day? I would like to. We got our first baby gift in the mail last week. It made me nervous but it was an awesome gift. I finally bought something for the baby this week....scary.
Did you register yet?

Yes, DH has a lot of family in HK, including his mother now. We'll probably take a trip there as a family in the next 3-5 years... I'll definitely need a valium and a LARGE glass of wine for that flight.
We haven't registered yet, probably next weekend (24 weeks), but I'm not sure.

Yeah its like a 16 hour flight. My DH just went there in June. We'll probably go in a few years. The problem is I'm a teacher and I don't get other vacation time so going in the summer would be brutal with the heat. I hear its not worth it if you aren't going for 2 weeks and seeing other places too.
24 weeks sounds good. Thats what I was thinking too. I have been doing research on what I want to register for so when the time comes I should be ready.

I was such a wreck when she moved out! I didn't realize how much I was going to miss her!!!! (Though the house still doesn't smell right to me, but after a month and a half of her being away, maybe it's my preggo hormones changing how it smells in the morning and NOT something she was cooking.)

Lol omg that's hysterical - I remember every day you were posting about how she was causing you stress!! Maybe it was the added inconvenience of your kitchen not being done at the time. Glad you have a better outlook on her now!

Oh it was everything, lol. Hormones, not having the kitchen, DH being an absolute cranky pants with her (he was so mean to her), things got so much better once she knew I was pregnant. We were hysterical crying saying goodbye at the airport.
I will say (and I don't remember which girls it was) a bunch of you had pointed out some things in one of my posts and I really took some time and just sat with myself and reflected on what was said and realized you were right. I was just getting upset over things that I had no reason to get upset over. I was really thankful for those faults (for lack of a better word) to be pointed out to me, especially since I'm usually NOT a negative person!
