I think its exactly that - too much make up. I think she always looked prettiest on the Newlyweds show with minimal or no make up. The pics Ive seen of her, esp red carpet pics, are always way overdone. There was some awards show where she came out with her costars of Dukes of Hazzard and she had a pound and a half of eyeliner on each eye. She looked absolutely horrid!

And lately her clothing is All MISSES!
All black, too tight, too flowy, its a mess!
What happened to the beautiful NATURAL looking Jessica?
She looked better in the past with natural hair, no make up and a sweatshirt on!
