Those who went to a RE - Update

They want me to come back on Thursday to see if beta is increasing and a sono. I am curious as to why a sono so early I'll be 4 weeks. Are they checking lining or something? I go to LIIVF

Update: I went today for Beta and asked why do I have to have a sono so early and the nurse said your just having blood work today. I said the nurse told me over the phone sono too and she said no just blood guess there was some confusion.

Are you sure your 4 weeks? I didn't even have my beta until 4 weeks. Are you counting from your period.

I had a beta and sonogram at 5 1/2 weeks. They were checking to see if there was a sac.

Just went back again at 6 1/2 weeks. They saw a sac and a flickering light which he said was the heartbeat. Good enough sono they skipped the beta.

Yes counting from my period which was July 17 CD1. I did my IUI on CD 12 and I got my first beta 15 days later (Tuesday). According to online calculators I'm 3w6d. Hope this makes sense.I am going to email my Dr. anways to find out.

I am surprised you are having a sonogram. I did not have one until 6 weeks.

My first soon was between 5.5-6 weeks to see the sac. Before that, just had beta.

They wouldn't do a sono until 6 weeks. Before that I had betas drawn.

I went in just before five weeks when I was seeing an RE there. I saw a sac but the dr said it was likely she wouldn't be able to see anything.

I had one early too, for other reasons. They saw a sac and while they couldn't see anything in it, they confirmed the pregnancy and saw the corpus luteum (sp?) on my right ovary.
