anyone wear compression gear while running?
I've been noticing more people wearing compression pants or socks. Does anyone wear these? What exactly is the benefit?

Yes. On long runs it helps. I wear calf sleeves to run right now and I have compression pants for after. I use the compression pants for runs more then 13 miles long. I run in one pair and keep one pair clean and put them in the freezer whole I shower. It's horrible and wonderful at the same time. Lol

I do--they limit swelling. I wear post-run compression socks pretty often for recovery after long runs but I LOVE my compression ice pants. I splured on these but they are huge for recovery after races. They are literally compression pants with pockets all over for ice packs. Great alternative to an ice bath.

I have calf sleeves and a pair of compression socks that are supposed to be worn during runs but I don't use them that often.

I only started running in April and have a varicose vein in one leg from my pregnancy's. Since I started running it's traveled more up my leg. Do you think a compression sleeve is worth me wearing? Or is not meant for that.

I've heard that there's only a minor benefit in using them , but that runners who wore compression socks have a perception of less soreness and a feel more recovered than those who did not.
