Any hr peeps know what the standard number of years are included in a background check?

When I was hired last year through NSLIJ, they made me go back 7 years, and I think I still had to fill out beyond that. 
It's a PROCESS.

Generally it's 7 years. For criminal reports, legally companies can only provide criminal convictions within a 7 year limitation unless the candiate is serving probation from an older case till present.
