I feel the baby everyday but it's only a few times. Maybe 2-3 times a day only and it's just a quick pop or flutter.
When did you start feeling the baby strong and consistent?
I'm 18.5 weeks and can't wait to feel her more :/

I started feeling him consistently around 25-26 weeks.

18.5 weeks is way too early for kick counts. I think sometime between 28-32 weeks, my doctor said to keep track of his movement.

Yeah, I agree with the 28 weeks, I'm almost 25 weeks and while I feel him every day, and the kicks are DEF getting stronger, I don't feel him consistently yet. I just saw my doc this morning and was told all sounded normal.

Okay that makes sense.
I kinda remember kick counts later on in the 3rd tri but it's so vague lol
So I guess little taps here and there at 18 weeks is normal??
I just ate lunch in my car and laid back in my seat and was able to feel her wiggling around in there for a bit.

Not for a while. I remember being around 26 weeks last time.

I'm 19 weeks now and while I feel movement everyday it's not consistent.

I never did "kick counts" my ob said they make people nutsy. Just make sure you are feeling the baby regularly and that didn't really start happening till 27 weeks or so.

I never did them. I could never feel the babies consistently. Both my OB and my high risk dr just advised me to make sure I felt the babies every 2-3 hours. This was at 36 weeks.

I was told to do counts at 36 weeks - and not really counts, but just being mindful if she was behaving "normally"

Re: When did you feel the baby consistently that you were able to count kicks

18 weeks is too early for kick counts, a lot of women don't start feeling kicks until after 20 weeks. My ob's has never asked me to do kick counts, they have always just said to make sure you are feeling some movement everyday. Regular kicks and movement happens after 24 weeks.

I never did a kick count with either pregnancy. My doc never asked me to. As long as I could feel the baby at different times of the day, I assumed all was ok. 18 weeks is still very early to be feeling full on kicks! Chat Icon

This. Not to mention I had anterior placenta so I rarely felt her move at all.
Even when I was having a sono and seeing her move like crazy on the screen I wasn't feeling it.
So there is no way I could have done kick counts as I barely ever felt a kick or movement
