OB's that deliver at LIJ? Need rec for friend
Asking for a friend who just moved to the area.
Can anyone recommend an OB who delivers at LIJ (the one in Lake Success not North Shore LIJ).
Short wait times for appts (less than 30 min) is essential.
She called mine and can't be seen until October.

OB's that deliver at LIJ? Need rec for friend
I go to Women 4 Women -- it's a practice that has 5 female docs and 1 female nurse practitioner. Their office is right on Lakeville Rd, literally next door to LIJ Katz Women's Hospital. I see Dr. Nicole Bell and really like her alot. There is one doctor who just joined the practice (don't know her name) but the others are Ostroff, Duncan, Sanders, and the NP is Amy Newman. Not sure about how quickly she could get in with one of the established doctors in the practice, but I'm sure she can get in with the new doctor relatively soon. Good luck!

Same, except I usually see Dr Ostroff. I love it there but most of the time wait more than 30 min.

I also use women for women. Dr. Ostroff did my csection but on a regular basis I see Dr. Bell.

i see dr. bell mostly, but they make you rotate through the practice. the new doctor is dr. smizer, i believe. i'm seeing her next.

Please have her consider Dr. S. Cohen. He is around the block from LIJ and all appointments have been no wait for me. I schedule at 7pm for my check ups and always go in exactly on time if not early. He's great and so is the staff!

Crashing, but another fan of Dr Cohen. When I lived on LI he was conveniently across from my office so went at lunch for check ups or after work. Was laid back and gave great advise when DH and I were trying and awesome through the entire pregnancy and delivered DS1. Couldn't say enough about him and his staff. They also do blood work and sonograms in the office which makes life easy.
Eta... He also has an office in Woodbury which is where I went to and lots of late night appts.
