Double dose of menopur - do I do 2 shots or can I combine?
I would prefer to do one shot if possible but I don't know how to do that. I have been on stims for 5 days (follistim and menopur) and went in this AM for monitoring and blood work and much to everyone surprise I have lots of 12 mm and one 16 mm follicle already so they want me to start ganirelix and also double my does of menopur from 75 iu to 150 iu. How do I do that? Thank you!

When I did Menopur it was in powder form and had to be used with that saline water. So for 150 I would pull in the amount of saline I was told mix it with the first bottle of 75. Pull it back into the syringe and mix that with a second bottle of 75. So it was all one shot.

When I did Menopur it was in powder form and had to be used with that saline water. So for 150 I would pull in the amount of saline I was told mix it with the first bottle of 75. Pull it back into the syringe and mix that with a second bottle of 75. So it was all one shot.
Ok so you mixed the first batch you diluted into the second bottle of powder? So no 2 bottles of diluent. Mix one as usual and then put that mixture into the second bottle of powder and administer in one shot.

That's what I did also. The nurses taught me to do this. They didn't show you what to do if you get more then one vile?

You can reconstitute up to 6 ampules of menopur in 1cc of saline. Just as the others have said: draw 1cc of saline, inject into one vial of powder, draw that back into syringe, inject into second vial of powder, draw back up. That's it.

Yes, exactly. So after each injection you should have used one saline and two powder.

Thanks for your help ladies. Followed your instructions and all went well. I also started ganirelix last night and did another shot this morning. Blood work and ultrasound tomorrow. Hoping those little follies kept growing!
