Does anyone not have a medicine cabinet in the master bath?
Is it a total pita?
I'm trying to decide between a matching cabinet over the toilet or maybe just some shelves. I like the idea of everything not being all matchy and all the pinterest ideas of shelves with baskets look really nice. I'm not sure that's all that functional or that they'd stay organized though. Thoughts? We'll only have a 48" vanity btw so not a ton of storage there either.

We don't. We just keep what we need in the vanity drawers. I sometimes wish we had one.

we do not have a medicine cabinet but we do have an attached matching linen cabinet which has so much storage.

We don't but we have separate vanities with a lot of storage.
In our vacation home we only have one tiny bathroom and it has a pedestal sink so the medicine cabinet is essential.

same here. For some reason I think things are easier to find on a shelf than in a drawer.

We do have one in our master bath, but not in our main upstairs hallway bathroom which is the bathroom that DH uses most of the time. I have pics in an album

We have his and hers in the master bath and also one in the main bath downstairs. - We just renovated the bathrooms in March ........
I was like you - I had a certain look I was going for, didn't want anything too matchy etc etc - but at the end of the day, function won out. I just don't have the time or energy to be keeping baskets clean and organized - it would have ended up looking like a mess and I didn't want to become a slave to a "look' ......and have no place to store all of the crap !!!

We don't, but we do have a large vanity, so I don't feel like we're lacking storage space.

We didn't and it didn't work. We had to get an over the toilet thing to store meds but, that was too accessible for kids. So when we re-did the bathroom we put one in.

I don't have one. I have a vanity with 3 drawers. I don't love the way they look.
