small, well made bedroom furniture?

ugh! We are having such a hard time finding bedroom furniture that will fit in our small room, that is well made, and that is not ridiculously expensive.

We are hoping to spend no more than 3000 total....and we would like it to be well made - we hope it will last us forever. Also, we need a lingerie chest - which I am finding is not that easy to find...

Can anyone suggest a place to look for small, quality, not ridiculously priced furniture?

I think "small" might be hard to find- you may find that rethinking how you use pieces might help. Like maybe an armoire might work better than a dresser for you and one for DH.

It's hard to recommend places without knowing your style but I think $3k gives you a lot of options.

We got our bedroom furniture at Pier1 ten years ago and it's still in great shape. The price was reasonable too.

You also don't have to get a set.

Think about what you want and then build around that, a piece at a time.

If you have the time, maybe check out yard and estate sales as well.

I'd say pier one for smaller furniture... Maybe Macys. You could always do an upholstered headboard and separate accent pieces from home goods.

We had this issue too. We finally ended up buying our furniture at Bassett but also saw smaller pieces at Thomasville and Ethan Allen.

I would look at Crate & Barrel or West Elm - they may have smaller pieces
