Question about 20 week Sono Test?
Hi - I will be 21 weeks on Sunday and tomorrow I am going to the hospital for a sono, which is the second part to the sono I had at 12 weeks...what do they look at/for during this sono?

Everything! It was the best sono of them all - they look at brain, heart, hands, arms, legs, kidneys, face, etc. And of course gender can be told then too :)

Question about 20 week Sono Test?
They measure the length of all the body parts (arms, legs, etc) and make sure the baby has the right number of fingers and whatnot. They check the internal organs (that they exist, are functioning correctly, and are the right size).
It's so much fun because the baby actually looks like a baby at this point and will do baby-like things (suck their thumb, roll around, etc). Enjoy!

This. It was incredible watching our LO move around and really have distinguished facial features. They also showed us the heart, all 4 chambers, and went through the rest of the body as well. At one point I saw something up above his head and said "oh look at his hand", the tech said, nope that's his foot - he was folded in half with his feet up above his head!

I had mine last night and she went over every part of the baby. It lasted about 30 minutes. At one point the baby put its hand by its mouth and blew us a kiss. So cute.

Mine was 30-45 minutes and they basically have to check every organ and document that limbs and organs are present and forming at a healthy rate and size. They took a video of the baby's heart also watching the valves and documented the placenta and cervix length. Very in depth! Always bring some cold juice with you in case the baby does not want to move or cooperate. My friend's scan took 2 hours due to the baby not moving and she had to keep getting up and drinking and walking to stimulate the baby.
