North Face jackets in person
As I posted on another thread, this year I am splurging on a North Face parka because if this winter is anything like last winter, I need one!
I was looking on their website and I think I know which one I want but I am torn between 2.
What store can I go to that has a large selection to try on and see in person?

I went there and all they had were some fleeces.
I didn't think it would be too soon to look at winter coats in September being that they put out bathing suits in freakin February

Are they really warm?
Yes they are. As much as I hate to admit that bc they are so damn expensive. It was def worth the money.

I need to look into one. I am freezing every single winter and it's because I never invest in a REALLY warm coat like I should.

I am in love with mine. It practically reaches my ankles, looks thin, yet it is the WARMEST coat I've ever owned. Definitely worth the money. You won't be sorry!

I'd say it's a good investment. You will use it every year. They hold up well also. I have the long version that goes to my knees and I love it.

North Face jackets in person
I usually get my North Faces from Incredible Feet in Oceanside. I think there is also a location in Bellmore or Wantagh.

Re: North Face jackets in person
What about the jackets? I am not really into the long coats- unless it's my long wool dress coat that I wear over dresses and for business etc.
I am looking at their jackets- almost like a puffer style I guess- to wear on weekends or on more casual days at work, with jeans etc.
Are they just as warm?

I'm sure they are just as warm as the longer ones, and probably cheaper!

I got a puffer jacket from North Face at the end of last winter and its definitely warm! Super comfty and really warm.
I got it at REI and it was on sale....i dont remember the exact model name, but its very similar/the same to the one below. My big thing was i wanted it to have a hood!

I have a white & green ski jacket of theirs, it's not super puffy, but it has the liner and it is incredible. I've had it for 6 seasons so far, and I love it. Keeps me VERY warm.

They are all warm. I have a few different ones including a fleece and they all are warm and last.
Department Stores, Sports Stores and Ski shops have the best selections.

I do not find them as warm as other brands.

Re: North Face jackets in person
I got mine at a Ski stop off the LIE i think in the plainview area. I know you can see the store from the highway. They had a big selection.
It is all I wear in the winter bc I commute and standing on the elevated platform with bitter cold wind is brutal. Love my coat!
