Paper Invite or "Evite"?
I know that an emailed invite is definitely the green thing to do but I'm afraid without a paper invite, guests are bound to forget about the event. Which do you prefer?

Re: Paper Invite or "Evite"?
My mom friends are doing Evites more and more- and I did one for DD's last birthday with a good result- no one forgot. You can always follow up via email if someone doesn't respond. I prefer them because they are easier.

Re: Paper Invite or "Evite"?
I did an evite through punchbowl this year. I spend too much on paper invites that people toss. Punchbowl sends reminders too.

I prefer Evite. It sends reminders to people and you know who's has seen the evite and can control better who is going or not. Have been using evite for he last 3 or 4 years and I it has been great.

Re: Paper Invite or "Evite"?
Evite. Everyone is doing it now in our area. Much easier. You can see who viewed the evite, it automatically reminds people 2-3 days before about the event. You can also send a remember to RSVP email out. When you mail there is no way to know if the invite was received and no way to remind people about the party.

Re: Paper Invite or "Evite"?
I'm not apposed to an evite and I always do email rsvp but I am "old school" and really love traditional paper invitations.

Re: Paper Invite or "Evite"?
I prefer the traditional paper invitations. I am fine with Evites, too, but I get SO many emails, that they are sometimes easy to overlook.
I have a big whiteboard calendar in my office, that is magnetic and also has a corkboard strip along the bottom. I use it for EVERYTHING - My work appointments, DH and I social engagements, DS's sports/activities/school events, all of our doctor appointments, etc.
So with the traditional invitation, I can tack the physical paper up on my board (and put the rsvp date on the calendar, etc.). Of course, I could always look up the info on the email and there are email reminders, etc., but I just prefer the tangible thing so I can put it with "like" papers and invitations, and have everything in one place.
Another advantage is that DH can check the calendar and corkboard to see what is going on in any given month, weekend.. he doesn't have to always ask me or check with me to see what's coming up.
