Meat packing district
Going in the city for the night in a couple of weeks with DH for the night. Was first thinking of making reservations somewhere. A friend suggested going to the meat packing district to walk around, have some drinks, listen to music and ordering some apps. I really like the idea bc nothing is set and no rushing. We're staying at the Waldorf, but there's nothing over there anyway. Thoughts? Better to make reservations or just see where the night goes? Is the meat packing district the best area for this? I lived in Hoboken a while back and loved walking around and just having drinks and listening to bands.

Re: Meat packing district
Meatpacking has a ton of good restaurants. The highline is there too. Places get busy, so if your going to dinner, make a reservation. if your just going to sit at the bar, then just go. We went to Morimoto a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. It wasn't not busy, but there was no one at the bar. We did need a reservation for dinner though.
Some good places over there:
Morimoto Standard Buddakan Scarpetta Spice market Catch Bagatelle
And tons of bars too. I really love that area and wish I could get down there more! Have fun!!
