Cruelty Free Foundation
I'm in the process of trying to switch to cruelty free products as I use up my current supply.
I have an ancient tube of Revlon Mineral Mousse that I absolutely LOVE. It's been discontinued, but I wouldn't buy it again anyway.
It goes on so light and smooth that I really don't feel like I'm even wearing makeup.
Can someone help me find something similar that is cruelty free and not too expensive?
I tried a cruelty free brand (Clarins?) liquid foundation and hated it.
TIA.

Re: Cruelty Free Foundation
Bare Minerals. I stay away from any brands like Revlon, Maybelline, and especially Loreal.

Thanks. I tried that many years ago - like 10+ maybe - and found it hard to apply for some reason.
Maybe I will try it again.
Other thoughts?

Re: Cruelty Free Foundation
Does it matter to you if the parent company is also cruelty free?
BareMinerals was bought by Shisedo a few years ago & they are not cruelty free, although actually BareMinerlas products are not tested on animals. (Same thing with NYX--the were bought by L'Oreal & Tarte who was bought by Kose)
If that doesn't bother you, you might want to try Bare Minerals's new liquid foundation.
This site has a good list of cruelty free brands--they also indicate if they are vegan or if the parent company does test on animals.
You might want to try Cover FX--but I think it is very full coverage.

From what I understand, they do not test, but they submit their products to 3rd party testing as required by law in countries such as China.

OK-then skip Bare Minerlas & check out Cover Fx or Hourglass. ( you can get samples at Sephora) They are pricey, but worth it. I used to use Hourglass's immaculate foundation when my skin was oilier.
If you are on a budget, Wet n Wild is also cruelty free-- but I haven't tried the foundation. The Coverall gets pretty decent reviews.

Arbonne! Love their liquid foundation, their mineral foundation and their BB cream. I use their BB cream and mineral powder daily. My sister sells it, let me know if you want her info.

I love Hourglass foundation. It was $55 at Sephora but it was worth it.

Tarte is cruelty free. I tried their Amazonian clay foundation and liked it a lot.
