Need help quick please- Med administration

I just injected myself with my follistim....they told me to keep track of how much is in the vial. It's a 900 unit vial so I could get six uses out of it. Today was my 6th day but after I injected I looked at the vial and theres still more liquid in there, its not a massive amount but its definitely a decent amount. Idk what to do, do I inject again? I put a call out to the nurse on-call but idk when their going to call me back. Has this happened to anyone??

They usually overfil the vial, so you actually have a bit more than 900. I wouldn't worry, but if you've taken the correct amount, don't inject yourself again.

Hi, try not to worry. In follistim and gonal f pens, there is always some more liquid medicine in it. There is more than the 900 units. You probably did nothing wrong. They purposely put more medicine in the pen. Many times, you have to prime the pen and that's also why there is more liquid in it. U can also call freedom pharmacy or kraupners pharmacy and ask to speak with a pharmacist there to verify if the nurse does not get back to u right away. Good luck with everything. I thought the same thing as u did when I used the gonal fpen. Also, when administering the medicine, it helped me to count the clicks of the gonal f pen.

ahhh thank you! The nurse actually just called me and told me this samething. She was like no no don't worry they overfill!! Lol I was kinda freakin a bit!! I got confused because my nurse had told me after 6 injects the vial will be done. Thanks for responding!
