Recurring ingrown toe nails
Help ! I'm sure it's my fault bc of the way I cut my nails but I have wedding on Friday and right now I can't wear dress shoes!!!!
I'm assuming at some point I need to see a podiatrist but any quick remedies for the discomfort ?

Recurring ingrown toe nails
Sounds weird, but I'd put dental floss between the nail and the skin. It would lift the nail just a bit so it wasn't as irritating. It would be really painful to get it under there. It would still take a day for the irritation to go down, and of course its only temporary. So not sure if that would help you.
I've gotten permanent nail removal for the edge that is always ingrown and its much better. And the only person that cuts my toenails is my podiatrist.

Re: Recurring ingrown toe nails
How long ago was your last pregnancy? I don't know why but some people get them just after pregnancy. Anyway, it's been a while since I had one but I had them often for a long time. For me there was never any solution that worked other than treatment from a podiatrist. Unfortunately even those treatments make it feel worse before it gets better. FWIW, the podiatrist who used a laser was the worst. They need to really get it out the old fashioned way. Maybe they can do something to keep it numb through the event??

Re: Recurring ingrown toe nails
put cotton under the ingrown part if you can get under it, and then put a bandaid over it. repeat until it grows out. cutting it will make it worse. there are youtube videos of the cotton trick.
