What do you eat on Halloween for dinner?
A friend of mine posted on facebook today for ideas and suggestions. And it got me thinking if anyone makes a certain meal for that night? Or does everyone just order out? lol
One suggestion was a meatloaf shaped like a guy with ketchup (as blood). I thought that was cute.
Someone else said they just grab cold cuts and make sandwiches

Well, per my last post I'm not a big cook. LOL!
Anyway, the plan is to order pizza. GOing out with friends around 4:30 - 5ish to trick or treat with the kids. We'll see how long they last and then go to either their house or ours (we live a few houses away) and bring in pizza. Making Halloween cookies with the kids for dessert and she's doing something similar. Going to need some wine too after a cold night walking around the neighborhood with all the kids. LOL

My plan is to make a pumpkin shaped pizza similar to this one. DH is gluten free so I'll make my own dough earlier in the day and probably partially cook it before we go out for the afternoon so I can just top it and finish it off when we get home.
I tried these earlier in the week and they did NOT come out cute! I made them on the grill pan and put a tinfoil tent over them to melt the cheese and I guess it was overkill bc the cheese was half melted off. I also don't usually use american cheese so maybe that just melts much faster and I shouldn't have covered them.

Nothing special for us. We will be ordering out. We usually do on Fridays anyway.

I hosted Halloween at my house last year. I made a tray of sausage and peppers and lasagna and salad for the adults and bought the pizza from Costco. The trays I was able to make in advance so all I had to do was heat up. The pizza takes 10 - 15 min

Ordering pizza. My SIL and her fiancé are coming over to trick or treat with me and DS. Between working til 5, then trick or treating, and handing out candy, there's just no time to cook tonight.

My husbands family has a big party, but before that we always made homemade pumpkin ravioli a with a brown butter sage sauce.
