Lucille Roberts - Feedback?
Thinking about joining, but I see online that many people have had problems cancelling their "no obligation" membership. Does anyone have any feedback on the gym, the classes and cancelling? I get that it isn't going to be like Equinox, but I am not spending $200 a month on a gym membership! Lucille Roberts is convenient for me from work and home and has classes at the times I need. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

They are rebranding themselves right now - I would wait and see what changes are being made and what the membership plans will be.
For the price, you can't go wrong with Planet Fitness.

Thanks, but there is not a Planet Fitness convenient to work or home.

Lucille Roberts - Feedback?
I really liked going to lucille roberts when I lived at home and it was around the corner. I would go with my mom. There were a lot of classes available at times that were convenient for me, there weren't a lot of machines, which kinda sucked if you just wanted to hop on a treadmill or elliptical, but I've seen other locations that had more equipment options. I had no issue breaking my contract when I needed to.

Lucille Roberts - Feedback?
side note, while planet fitness had a ton of machines, they offered NO classes, no space to do much stretching or floor exercises, I did not like it as much.

Re: Lucille Roberts - Feedback?
I had a membership at Lucille Roberts, I paid like $17 a month, and had zero issues in cancelling. I really liked it there! All women, plenty of AWESOME classes, and clean facilities. I went to the Stony Brook location.
I ended up canceling though, because this is my issue with this place. They offer these great classes, but they they are taught on CARPET. I can't tell you how many times my sneakers got caught, tripped me up, and the final straw was when I twisted my ankle and was in pain for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty coordinated, so it w wasn't that. It's just that doing Zumba on CARPET is horrible! I was told they were changing to wood floors, that never happened, so I haven't been back. Once they switch over, I'll go back!

for $10.00 a month you can walk on a track for free.
I hated planet for everything you said, unless I used a trainer, then it was good.
The equipment was always broken, In my experience.

Thank you! I will be on the lookout when I go tour the gym. That seems so odd!
