Re: making a window into a sliding door?
Sounds like a job for a general contractor since you have a lot going on---carpentry/masonry(depending on your house) and plumbing.
As far as cost I have no idea but we just installed Pella in our kitchen and it looks awesome!!

Re: making a window into a sliding door?
Doesn't sound complicated, depending on your siding, and how big the current window is, and the new door is. Ideally, the door is the same rough dimensions as the window. If so, you don't have to modify the header, or the jack studs. Just take the window out, cut the wall with a circular saw down to the floor, and put the door in.
The radiator isn't complicated. It's low-pressure copper pipes. You don't need a plumber for that. I've done that myself several times. You just need someone who's done it before so you don't get leaks.
A handyman and a partner should be able to take care of that project in a day or two (depending on if you want them to spackle and paint anything).
The outdoor steps depend on how many steps you need, and what kind of footings you might need.

Re: making a window into a sliding door?
If your window is the width of a standard sliding door it is so easy to do. We actually did this and it made a huge difference in the functionality of our main floor.
The rough opening was the size the sliding door needed once we took out the window. Then we bought exact same Anderson Slider that was in our family room. We had an outlet under the window but we took it out. It didn't even take a days worth of work. We hired a contractor to do it.

Re: making a window into a sliding door?
It'd doable, you just have to make sure the proper header gets installed for the sliding door. A contractor should be able to do this.

You will need to get quotes for this, we had this done by a contractor, needed a new header, my dad took the radiator out. I think it was about $900 labor to cut put the window and put the door in. Factor in the cost of plumbing, door, and depending what steps you want I'd say a few grand at least...

I paid $2000 to have a door cut into a wall where there was nothing before - stairs will depend on the materials...
