Where to go for new make-up?
It's been embarrassingly long since I got new make-up.
I currently use Bare minerals because it's always been easy & light. But I need new stuff & someone to educate me on application.
Any recs to where is best? sephora, ultra, department store?
TIA!!!!!

I would go to Sephora. If you go to a department store, you're going to have to visit multiple counters and have different salespeople swaying you toward their particular products, wheras at Sephora, you will work with one person and all of the products they sell there.
I'm also a huge fan of the Naked palette, but the 3 is better for my skin tone and coloring.
I've never been to Ulta though, so I have no idea how they operate.

I like Ulta because some items just don't need to be "high end" so you can buy from the drug store side but you can also opt for that special attention you get from Sephora where the high end products are sold.

I prefer Ulta to Sephora. I feel like I'm always accosted by salespeople in Sephora and maybe I'm imagining this, but I feel like the music is always blasting.

This is so true! I like both stores, but I usually go to the MAC counter or MAC store in Roosevelt Field. Certain things I will pick up from Sephora (shadow primer and eyeliner)and I buy my fragrances from Ulta. Not sure where you live but JC Penny's has Sephora and they are not as pushy.
