Christmas Cookie thread
What are you making?
what is your timeline? do you bake all in one day or one or two varieties every weekend?

Re: Christmas Cookie thread
Lemon butter Coconut chocolate chip Oatmeal lace Chocolate krinkles Palmiers Peanut butter kisses (DH's request) Snickerdoodles Maybe a basic sugar cookie
If I have time, I may experiment with a hazelnut or almond cookie.
I bake the more time consuming cookies on the weekends. If I get home from work early enough, I'll bake a double batch of an easy cookie, like the coconut chocolate chip. Most of the cookies are given away as holiday gifts.

Re: Christmas Cookie thread
One thing my family ALWAYS makes at Xmas is Italian pizzelles. Our pizzelle irons have been in the family forever and they make the most PERFECT, thin, crispy pizzelle cookie. They are my absolute favorite!!
I will also make sugar cookies, my chewy fudge brownie cookies, and I'll probably try out a few other new cookies too. I like to try a few different recipes every year.

Re: Christmas Cookie thread
I think this year I am making
Rainbow cookies Mexican wedding cookies Snickerdoodles Pignolis Sugar cookies and I may try these cranberry walnut shortbread cookies I saw!
I usually bake them in one day - I will likely do it next weekend.

Yup we each pick a recipe and just start going. We have two stand mixers going at all times. This year we bought 20 pounds of flour, 20 pounds of sugar, 13 dozen eggs, and 30 pounds of chocolate chips.

I want to attempt to make these. I suck at baking but these seem pretty easy.
