Cats and Yarn
Omg this is such a dumb question, but I need some advice. DD keeps saying that she wants Santa to bring our cat yarn for Christmas. Could cats play with yarn?? My cat can NOT be around ribbon. He has eaten it on several occasions and it can be very dangerous, as it can get stuck in their intestines. Would yarn pose the same danger? Thanks!

Re: Cats and Yarn
I used to just give a little bit of yarn when mine were young and monitor them. I never left them alone playing with the yarn. Good Luck!

Re: Cats and Yarn
I would think it would. I would never chance giving my cats yarn.

Cats and Yarn
No yarn. The fibers that break off are not good.

Re: Cats and Yarn
Thank you. Yesterday I spoke to the woman who owns the pet food store I go to (she knows a lot about cats), and she said no way should I give my cat yarn. Can't believe my last-minute Christmas shopping is gonna be for my cat!
