Registering-where?

Where is everyone registering? Is it ok to register at 3 places or is that overkill? I'd like to register at bbb, potterybarn, and land of nod. Thoughts?

Re: Registering-where?

When I had DS, I registered at Buy Buy Baby for the majority -- I liked them over BRU because I felt their customer service was a step above. I loved their choice of products too. Certain things I could only find there.

For accessories and kind of "decor" stuff I registered at Pottery Barn Kids.

That was it for me but you can do whatever you'd like.

BBB and BRU. There a lot less BBB around so I think having BRU is kind of helpful to your guests. Also they now give a cash back incentive. Also BBB and BRU have things exclusive to them, so look around before you choose for sure. My stroller in exclusive to BRU.

Just remember Pottery Barn Kids is expensive and it's hard to find a location, so I wouldn't expect much to be bought there. But if you want something specific from them I think it's ok to register at a third.

Re: Registering-where?

I like Buy Buy Baby better than Babies R Us but because there are less BBB stores around, I also registered at Target/Baby for the basics.

Re: Registering-where?

I should add that with my PBK registry, I ended up getting everything I registered for - which was quite a bit since we did all of our bedding and sheets there (Peter Rabbit). People just had it shipped to them and this was BEFORE the new location at Walt Whitman opened up! Had it been there at the time, it would have been even easier. So, I didn't notice that with me but everyone is different. HTH!

Re: Registering-where?

I did BRU bc there are way more of them around and easier for my family. I never had issues with them with DS and all was great registering this time too.

I also registered at Target and Amazon but didn't tell anyone. I did it for the discount! At target I got $20 gift card just for registering, and 10% off everything that remained before my due date. And I mean EVERYTHING! I did my shopping, scanned it into my registry before I got to register, and it was all discounted. (iPod, shampoo, etc).
Amazon gives you a completion discount too.

All of that was in addition to bbb. But I didn't make the target or Amazon public.

I had a few friends who had major issues with Target discontinuing stuff and with their return policy. That is why I opted against it, though I like Michelle1110's idea.

I did babylist. U can add anything from anystore online, from BBB to Amazon to diapers.com. And they tell the purchaser the different prices at different stores so they can get the best deal. Plus you get those registry completion discounts at about 4 different places
