Failed 1 hr
I'm so upset I failed the 1 hr glucose test. This is my second pregnancy and I passed the 1 hr for my first. Is that a bad sign??? I'm freaked out!! I really hope I don't have gestational! My number was 136. Looking for support... Anyone fail and then pass the 3hr? Is it good that my number was only 136 or does that not really matter?

Failed 1 hr
I failed the 1 hour with a 142 or something like that. I passed the 3 hour without a problem. You'll be fine!

Failed 1 hr
I had GD with DD. Its not that bad. You may still pass the 3 hr but even if you don't its not terrible. You just have to watch what you eat. Its a very low carb high protein diet. I only gained 16lbs during my pregnancy because I was so strict. It made me feel better too knowing I was eating so healthy and clean. I had to take medication at night to to keep my waking number under 90. My DD came out fine she was normal size and had no blood sugar issues.

Re: Failed 1 hr
Thanks everyone! I'm starting to feel a bit better about it, but the whole thing just stinks to me. I know it won't be a big deal if I do have it, but it worries me because of possible complications with delivery or the baby. My first was easy squeezy, and I was hoping for the same this time, but it sure is proving that every pregnancy/baby is different!

I had GD and while I had a difficult induction (nothing to do with GD at all), DD came out perfect with no blood sugar issues and weighed 7lb5oz. GD is a pain but it's not the end of the world as long as you follow what you're supposed to do.

ITA. My DD was fine and had no complications from it at all. If you do have it just try your best to control it and you and baby will be fine.

Failed 1 hr
When is the GD test done? I'm going in a week for my 24 week appointment and was wondering if my OB would give me a script for the test then.

Re: Failed 1 hr
I failed the one hour both times by 15 points. The first time, I passed the 3 hour. With my second pregnancy, I failed 1 of the 4 blood draws by a few points and was diagnosed with glucose intolerance. It's treated the same as GD. It never developed into GD and DS2 was born healthy at 7 lbs 11 oz.
