2 Kofinas?!
I just saw that there are two Dr. Kofinas.. Alexander in Garden City and George in Brooklyn/Staten Island. Which one is the "right" one? Help!

George is a RE, Alex is a obgyn. George could help you get pregnant and Alex could keep you pregnant

Alexander Kofinas is the one you want to see, but he is not an OB. He's a perinatologist. He does not deliver. You see him alongside an OB and see both doctors. He is wonderful, btw.

I made the appt. with George. His website had stuff about infertility and all, so I thought he would be the one. Did I just get the wrong brother..
Isn't a perinatologist for those with high risk pregnancies..  I'm so lost..

Sorry, that's what I thought. George is the RE and helps get you pregnant and once you're already pregnant people see alex to keep them pregnant. People with multiple losses, etc.

Alex is the doctor that helped me get pregnant after 3.5 years.....he is technically a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine)/perinatologist but he also can diagnose autoimmune disorders. He figured out what was wrong and helped me tremendously.

Thanks girls! I'm going to put in a call to Alex as well, no harm in calling the office. My OB recommended to see a RE, after my HSG results.. so I'm assuming George is the guy.

I had twins through a femara cycle with Dr. Kofinas, the peri. He is one amazing doctor! He got me pregnant and kept me pregnant.

Ohhh yes yes sorry as you can see, my original response was made at like 4am or something.
Alex is a peri who will keeps ou pregnant but can also help get you pregnant with time intercourse cycles. He is not an re and will not perform IVF, etc.
His brother is an actual RE. I actually met with him once when I was having various consults and liked him a lot. He was a very warm guy and seemed smart. I never eneded up using him as my doctor though.
Ultimately, I got pregnant through a different practice and went to Kofinas the peri once pregnant. I highly recommended that practice.
