BFP!!
Hi ladies....
Got a BFP on Saturday! DH and I are in shock still but very excited!!! I called today to make my first appointment. It is for when I will be 8 weeks.
Just curious as to what to expect?! Did you bring DH with you?
Looking forward to the next 9 months on here!

Congrats! I always had my first appts earlier then 8 weeks, but since ur going at 8 weeks I think they will probably do a sono. I'm thinking internal sono. Goodluck!!

They said they only see patients starting at 8 weeks. I wish I was going tomorrow!

I'm bringing my husband fist appointment at 9 wks. When I was going over late hours with the girl, she told me the first 3 I would probably want him to be with me.

BFP!!
You'll more than likely have a sono. See the baby and hear the hear beat so I would def bring DH. There's nothing like hearing the heart beat for the first time and seeing your little bean. Congrats and all the best!

congrats!!! I had my first appt around 8 weeks and I brought DH with me because we were both really excited to see the sono. I made a list of any questions or concerns to go over with the doc as well. Healthy and happy 9 months!!!

Congratulations! They will probably do blood work, sonogram, medical history, etc pending on your OB. I'm surprised they don't have you come in sooner to check your hcg levels and Sono for viability (6-8 weeks)?!

Yup! Brought DH with me. They did blood work, weighed me, a general Gyneo check-up and then a trans-vaginal sonogram to see the baby in the uterus (makes sure it's not ectopic), also makes sure there is only 1 baby (I'm a twin, so that was a big deal to see), and then you can even see the heartbeat "blinking." Once you see that (looks like a blinking spec of light), then the % of Miscarriage goes down dramatically. Hope that helps! :)
