I would love this information too. My contract is with Romanelli through May - service and oil - and my price per gallon per the contract is $3.59.

For once, we have great timing!!............We're looking around too because our contract is up at the end of the month. The prices are CRAZY low!!!! We are seeing prices as low as what I was paying TEN YEARS ago when I bought my house. I'll let you know what quotes we get, we're calling around tonight and tomorrow.

We got a delivery on Monday $2.52/gallon. With Petro, we have a contract with them. The ceiling was high when we did this year's contract ($3.39???) we have paid no where near it at all.

meenan. i just signed up in early december. my cap is 3.029. first delivery was 2.809 and this one said 2.509. it's a little on the higher side getting a cap vs COD but i like having the service. at the time the regular contract price was 3.019 so it didnt make sense not to do the cap!
ETA- FM me if you want the sales guy's number. i think they offer discounts or incentives for family & friends. not sure

Recent oil prices?
Paid 1.89 2 weeks ago, their price is up again though now to 2.219
This is through Romeo's out of Holbrook, they deliver to us in Center Moriches
I ALWAYS use www.codfuel.com, the prices are also always cheaper than when you call.

Is your "cap" a contract with Meenan which also includes a service contract? I don't pay COD at this time and when my contract with Romanelli is up in May I was going to seek out a lower contract rate because COD is not something that I can do.

yes-- basically they charge you $100 for the service contract but they also give you $100 credit for signing up (new). Last time i signed up with them i also received a new thermostat for free.
i think you sign for 600 gal / year but thats approximate and just to make sure you aren't buying on the side if it's cheaper.
FYI last year i had slomins whose customer service is NOT good. I was somewhere around 3.319.

We just locked in today with Frank Bros. at $2.45/gallon. 15 month contract, $99 for a full, premium service contract.
