Bag Dimensions - Help!

I'm looking for a nice, neutral spring bag... lo and behold, Matt & Nat just unveiled their spring line! woo! I like a tote shape, and these are my two choices. I feel as if #1 is tiny and #2 is massive. Do any of you have purses w/either of these dimensions? Can't decide which way to go.

Bag 2 is 13x10x4.5 with a 6.5 strap drop. (will this even fit on my shoulder?)

Bag 2 is 19x13x6.5 with a 8.5 strap drop. (this seems huge!)

Help! Which would go with?

I think the strap drop on #1 will be a tight squeeze over your shoulder but since it's summer, it won't have to fit over a coat or sweater so it should be doable. #1 is not that small - I have a bag with similar stats but it is east-west. Fits everything I need with room to spare.

#2 could be handy for summer if you carry an extra water bottle, sunglasses, etc. Personally, for me, if I carry a bigger bag I end up carrying more stuff so I try to keep it manageable.

To me, #1 seems like more of a handbag size and #2 a tote bag size.

LOl I know its hard in the pic - they're basically 2 versions of the SAME bag.

I would opt for 1. I am not one to carry much with me anyway.

My TB bag had a 7" drop and it is annoying. I feel like it is right up my armpit. I would go with the second option

Re: Bag Dimensions - Help!

I need a long strap drop, it's my most important requirement in a bag... so I'd say #2. I also like a bigger bag. I don't use my small bags as much because I carry a ton of stuff especially for work, like my newspaper, snacks, sunglasses, wallet... I never have enough space in my bag.
