Cleaning Advice??

Trying to set up a cleaning routine that will really help me get on top of the housework. Setting up a chart of daily and weekly chores that I can check off to help motivate me. With two little ones I feel like nothing is getting done lately and I need to put it in writing what I will do everyday. And this brings me to my question. Do you think it is easier to do one chore everyday throughout the whole house (ie: dusting, vacuuming) or cleaning one room a day from top to bottom?

I like doing a room a day top to bottom so something feels accomplished + daily maintenance ( dishes, laundry, putting away kids toys at night, vacuuming, etc)
