This sounds soo good- hubby's been wanting chili (not the canned kind which has so many additives!) and I've been wanting to make it just didn't know how.

I'm not on WW but so good to know that it's healthier than the canned stuff he's been eating.

My DH hates beans but he will eat it if I puree them so I throw the beans in the food processor. We love this recipe!

Re: WW "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS) (UPDATED)

Well...I just pointed this up based on all the ingredients I bought yesterday & if there are 10 servings...I got 6 pts. I'll have to portion it out later to see if it's 10 1cup servings, but if it is - ouch = Really 6 isn't bad for a meal, but considering it was "suppose" to be 1 before that's a huge jump...not to mention all the sodium.

When I used to make this before I used to throw it all in - including liquids from can like the recipe says. Has anyone made it by NOT doing that to help cut out a lot of sodum? I also opted for 40% less sodium taco season mix & vacuumed packed corn...anything to help, right?

6? Yikes! I don't use the liquid from the beans or corn and get more then 10 servings. Usually around 12 I think.

I plan on making this without the liquids from the corn and the beans. I'm not too much a fan of corn in general because of the fact that it's a starch, so might omit that as well.. maybe thrown in some other veggies to substitute though.

Can't wait to go food shopping- DH loves the idea and we're going to make this one weekend.

does anyone know how to make this vegetarian?? I love veggie chili.

You could probably just replace the ground meat w/ the veggie crumbles.

Or just omit that step all together.

It's soooo good!!!

that is what I am going to do. The Morning Star meat crumbles

Re: WW "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS) (UPDATED)

I made this last night and it is so delicious! DH had about 4 bowls!

The only thing that I changed was that instead of the diced chili peppers I used diced jalepenos. Also instead of canned beand (both pinto and kidney) I used the type that you have to boil.

I opted to leave out the corn as I'm not a big corn fan.

Bump! Love this chili and cannot wait to make it now that is is getting cooler. I am on MyFitnessPal.com and need to figure out the actual cals rather then the WW points.

Try the Skinnytaste Turkey, 3 Bean Crockpot Chili - it's similar & doesn't have nor need the taco seasoning, ranch dressing stuff, etc.

FYI...i put this in etools...assuming it makes 10 1 cup servings, it's 5 pts per cup.
