How soon after you adopt a 1 year old dog to you bathe her?

I would bathe immediately after being in the shelter.

Both of mine came right home and went right into the bath tub!

We had to wait 3 days because of stitches otherwise I would of done it right away.

We couldn't bathe right away because he had just been neutered, but he had been groomed prior to us picking him up. I think we finally gave him a bath when the stitches had totally absorbed into the skin.
