Gallstones in gallbladder
My mom has a lot of gallstones in her gallbladder. Can they break them apart or do they do surgery?

They remove the whole gallbladder.

They can't pass like kidney stones.
You would need to have your gallbladder removed.
Generally you can exist ok with stones in your gallbladder until they start causing problems.
I never knew I had them until I started having bad gallbladder attacks.
The surgery was done laproscopically and it was a breeze. Home the same day, back to my self 100% in a week.

Gallstones in gallbladder
Same here - mine started acting up, but then it got really bad (throwing up in the ER, turned my liver jaundiced, etc). I had it removed and was back at work 5 days later. I haven't had issues since then.
