for those pregnant with your 3rd+ child

I am pregnant with my 3rd. I always wanted 3 kids. My 2 kids are very close in age and will be sharing a room as well. They are both girls. The room is a good size for them. I think it's normal to have these fears. I have fear of how the kids will react to other child, how I will be handling 3 kids, etc. but it will all work out. GL with whatever decision you make!

Re: for those pregnant with your 3rd+ child

We went through the same thing. My first 2 are close in age (14m) and although at times I wanted to rip my hair out and run away, I didn't find it too difficult to manage them. Now they are 5&4 and I'm due with #3. My girls will share a room and this baby will have a small bedroom. And I mean SMALL. Barely enough room for a crib and dresser but they can deal. They won't know any different. My girls are in dance and gymanstics right now and adding another baby with monthly expenses and needs, will force me to have to figure out what the girls are going to do in the fall. I can't afford it all. But it is what It is and they will adjust.
We are all SO excited for this baby. I think no matter what you always find a way.

The cost of a 3rd is a lot more.

My other two are close together & this will mean I need a babysitter for THAT much longer (I work FT)... and with the difference of ages, she will need to cover more hours. In addition, I will be paying for preschool.

Vacations will mean a suite or an extra room.

College costs will go on & on interminably for me.

BUT, I can swing those costs.

I really don't care about the room. My 2 share a room now & they don't even notice.

Activities: I minimize those: we do activities together as a family.

We decided to do it NOW or never because of my age. This pregnancy is a lot harder than my other 2.

HUGE adjustments for #3. moving to a new place, new everything, possibly new job. we just simply couldnt sustain this livestyle with more than 2 kids. but its going to be great and while we were scared of change at first, we're super excited for the twins to have a baby brother or sister and all the new experiences that we will have.
