is there supposed to be a 16 week appointment?
i had my nuchal at 11. and now i go back in 9 weeks. but everyone i talk to says they went at 16 weeks too?
did they mess up?

is there supposed to be a 16 week appointment?
I have appointments once a month, but only had three scans. First to confirm pregnancy, next for the nt scan and them the anatomy. Next and final will be growth scan. Every dr is diff, but mine worked out to be about 8/12/16/20/24 etc.

Depends on your doctor. Mine does a 16wk early anatomy scan. I see an MFM. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I went every four weeks until 30 weeks. No sono at 16 weeks but I had an appointment.

Just a standard and basic check up. Urine sample, measurements (of uterus), blood, blood pressure, weight etc..

Normal appts are every 4 weeks and they just use the Doppler. My Ob sends everyone to Madonna for their sonos and they do one at 12, 16 and 20 weeks and then again at 28-30 to check growth. It really all depends on the doctor bc a lot don't do a 16 week sono

Oh yeah, doppler too!! How did I forget??? That is basically the highlight of all non sono appointments. Getting on the scale and being poked like a pin cushion, I can live without lol.

The other part of the 1st trimester testing you did(NT). It's the AFP or Alpha Feto Protein. There is usually no ultrasound just blood drawn, urine analysis, and HB on the doppler.

16w is a blood test, urine, weight and listen to the baby's heart.

I had appointments once a month... this time around I turned out to have one at 14 weeks and 18 weeks. My OB gave me a sono at 18 weeks and was able to tell me the gender (which was confirmed at a 20 week sono)

Yes. 16 weeks is when you hear baby's heart beat on the outside and they check you. I haven't gone more than 4 weeks without going to an appointment. Maybe call back and see if they should be doing one at 16 weeks.
