No heartbeat with Kofinas
Hi Ladies,
I took the plunge with Kofinas this past October. I got pregnant in January. I was 8 weeks pregnant with a heartbeat last week in Kofinas' office and then went to my regular OB at the end of the week to see no heartbeat. This is my fourth miscarriage. I always knew there were risks but I guess I was a little more confident in my chances this time since I was seeing Kofinas. I had a D&C on Monday and I am waiting for the results. I scheduled a follow up with Kofinas but I am debating if I am going to go through all of this again. His office was very nice and supportive but it just stinks! Sending best wishes to all of you.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I also conceived in January (IUI) and miscarried at 8 weeks. It was truly the hardest thing I've ever dealt with to date. I had a D&C on the 11th and learned just a few days ago that it was a completely normal pregnancy and there's currently no explanation as to why it occurred. Did you previously have a D&C with your other losses? If not then hopefully you'll find out now what the issue is. I will be going for further testing to see if they can find out why I lost the baby. They're treating me as if I have previously miscarried (which I guess is a good thing). I'm not familiar with your RE, but if he/she is not taking ever step to get you an answer as to why this is occurring I would switch doctors. I wish you the best of luck and hope during this difficult time.

I got pregnant during my first medicated TI cycle with Kofinas and sadly miscarried at 7 weeks. It was exactly a year ago. It was my fourth consecutive miscarriage.
I stuck with him and on my fourth medicated TI cycle, I was pregnant again. I am now 27 weeks pregnant and thankfully. knock on wood, all is going well.
He's brilliant. I was so sad at what initially happened but I trusted him and went with my gut. Good luck and I am so sorry....I totally know how awful this is.
