Women on Enoxaparin (Lovenox)

I'm on Enoxaparin the generic of lovenox since my insurance will not pay for the brand unless it is medically necessary. I notice that when I engage the safety lock a decent amount of medication squirts out (I always make sure the air bubble goes in last). Does this happen to anyone else? I'm also a nurse and administer the actual brand lovenox to patients daily and notice this does not happen. Enoxaparin is also more concentrated 40mg in 0.4 ml, lovenox is 40mg in 4 ml, so I worry I'm losing a lot of the dose if that much is squirting out when I safety lock it, even with air bubble in last.

I'm a nurse too and on the generic form of Lovenox. There are always air bubbles but I try to get it out but I'm not always successful. I just administer it.

What I'm concerned about is after I give myself the injection I engage the safety lock and a decent amount of liquid squirts out, so I'm worried I'm not getting the full dose.

I'm a nurse as well, and currently on lovenox myself I take the air bubbles out before injecting. You have to tap the bottom of the syringe a lot as the bubbles are quite big. I so notice a small amount of fluid squirts when I activate the safety device but its definitely not a lot. You can try activating it while the needle is still injected into you to prevent this.
