Restaurant Rec's near Central Park
I know that it is on the late side, but we just decided to go to the Central Park Zoo on Mother’s Day with the kids. Can anyone recommend a place to eat in the area?

Re: Restaurant Rec's near Central Park
I'm sorry, I should have specified. Can you tell I never leave Long Island? We are going to the zoo and the entrance is on 64th St and 5th Ave. Any type of food works, DS is 3.5 and DD is 19 months (if that helps!). TIA!

There are so many options.
Serendipity - touristy and you will probably wait but the kids would love it. They're known for their frozen hot chocolate. 60th/3rd
Big daddy's - kid friendly Sarabeths on Central Park south The smith - a little walk to 2nd ave and low 50s Tony DiNapolis is good. Family style Italian. 64/3rd

There's also Alice's Teacup on 64th and Lex.
Definitely get to Serendipity EARLY. I walk past it every day and often have to cross the street because the sidewalk is so packed!
Have fun!
