trigger shot/IUI and POAS

I had a trigger shot of 10,000 Units of Hcg before my IUI on 5/3; (trigger on 5/1)

since the home pregnancy tests test for this hormone, taking a test too early would possibly give me a false positive if it hasnt fully made its way through my system?

Yes. If you took a pg test now it would most likely show as positive since the trigger shot contains the same hormone that your body will produce if you do, in fact, become pregnant.

im only about 4- 5 DPO right now if ovulation happened saturday 5/2; not entirely sure. but I wouldnt test now anyway.

but some of those tests say they work 5 days before your missed period. i think that would still be too early to test with the HCG shot.

The trigger shot is typically out of your system within 10-12 days, some woman may metabolize it sooner or later than others. For me, it has been out of my system by day 7. I think you'll be safe to test next Tuesday or Wednesday.

I triggered 5/1 11 am;

So that would mean Ovulation around sometime late saturday nite?

IUI was sunday 5/3 at 9:30 am approx by the time the dr. got done with Dh's sample

I wont test until closer to AF which would be the 16th or 17th.
