Stupid BRU.com Policy - FYI
Seriously I'm having the worst day when it comes to customer service and companies!
My mom got DD some outfits for her birthday that were a size too small. I returned them to BRU today but of course these particular outfits are online only. I was given a gift card from CS.
I just went on BRU.com to order the next size in these outfits, some are on sale, some not. I found all but 1. I just went to submit my purchase which the gift card completely covers. It also asked for a credit card, which I would assumed was to verify the address. Every time I tried to submit the order, it said that I needed to enter the CC's security code. I tried multiple times and even deleted the credit card and re-entered it. There was a button on top of the screen to chat with someone which I did and was told this:
Luis A.: If you are using a Gift Card and one of the items placed has already a discount, the system will not allow to place an order.
Luis A.: It cannot be used a promotional code with items that have already a discount.
Liz: but it's not a promotional code?
Luis A.: Gift Cards also apply to this restriction.
So you cannot use a gift card online if the item you are purchasing is on sale!!!
This just may be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. What's the point in having sales or gift cards then?

That is such bullsht. Call customer service snd ask for a supervisor. A gift card is like store credit, cash for a store. It's not a promo discount code.

Okay, I am a manger in a clothing store and can tell you those "help desk" and "tech people" they use (at least in my company) don't know their ass from the elbow. I'm surprised they know how to turn on a computer. Call up the 1800 number and see if you can place the order that way. If they gave you a store credit, you usually can't use those online but the guy is saying you only can't use it for sale stuff so that can't be right. If it's a gift card you should be able to use it online regardless

I ended up clearing cookies on my browser and starting from scratch and it managed to go through. Not before wasting an hour from my life lol.

BBB is no picnic either. My mom is buying a few things to keep at her house... A high chair, a pack n play, and a bouncer. So after pricing them out at BRU and Target and some other places we went to BBB with our 20% coupons... Surprise surprise, just like Bed Zbath a Beyond everything at BBB was 20% more expensive then we found at other stores. And it took me 30 minutes to get a sales Person to help us. When we did she didn't know the answer and had to wait 10 minutes to get it from another guy on the floor who was working with reservation customers.
