Does anyone go to Womens Preferred Health with Morris-Rush or another dr?
I'm just wondering what happens at the initial appointment at around 8 weeks? Do they do an internal sono to get the heartbeat? Also - do they do bloodwork in the office or do you go to a lab?

They will do an internal sono. If they do not see a heartbeat, they will make a follow-up appt for a week later. At the initial appt., they will also do an internal. They will take all blood in the office (first appt and subsequent - I never had to go to a lab). For most subsequent sonos, an ob/radiologist will do your sonos. I LOVE that it is not a technician, and I loved Dr. steinfeld who did them.

I love love love that office...yes the inital appointment will be an internal sono and blood work but I believe it depends upon your insurance if they do your blood work in office or not...mine was done in office but there are the signs I've seen around saying differnt..Also my ds in now almost a year old but I had to go to the hospital for big sonos because st.steinfeld wasn't there anymore....not sure if that's changed yet but it was much easier with my daughter 2 years ago when they did them in the office vs the hospital

Re: Does anyone go to Womens Preferred Health with Morris-Rush or another dr?
Now that we are on the topic of this practice, my doctor (Dr. Seidman) merged his practice with this one and I'm kinda nervous. Dr. Seidman delivered my other 2 kids. At this point, I'm kinda freaking out because odds are another doctor from this practice is going to deliver me for this preg.
What is your feedback on the various docs in this practice? The number of doctors in this practice out-numbers the two doctors I've been seeing for years...

I haven't been there in a year since having my ds but the two women that deliver there are great.....dr. Oppenheim delivered my dd in 2012 and dr. Rush delivered my ds in 2014...there was also another man there dr.prince...he is equally nice but I always stuck with the other two, but I knew there was a chance he would be on call when it was time and I would have been ok with him delivering too

I always had Marchbein, Morris-rush, or Oppenheim for my appts., and of course the day my water broke, the only one I hadn't met (prince) was on call. He was amazing. I would be very comfortable with any of the 4 delivering in the future.
