LASIK question
I had lasik yesterday to correct my nearsighted-ness (I'm in my 40s and have worn glasses since 3rd grade). During the initial exam, I said that I'm on the computer a lot for work and the dr suggested that I have my dominant eye be 20/20 but the other to be weaker to help with eye strain at work. I agreed BC he said that if I didn't like it he'd correct my vision for free.
So now I've had the surgery and I'm still getting used to everything (and healing), but the lack of perfect vision in my left eye is throwing me off. At my follow up appt today I was told it takes a while for the brain to process it all, and I'm definitely willing to accept that. I just wanted to see if anyone else had the same thing done and if they like the result.

Re: LASIK question
I went with it 15 years ago and I am very happy. I adjusted right away but I was younger at the time. However, I have a feeling that you either adjust right away or you don't at all. How long has it been since your LASIK? Now I am 47. My distance eye is not 20/20 anymore and I prefer to keep my glasses on all the time again. Although I use glasses again for distance and computer, I don't need reading glasses. The eye that is weaker for distance stayed strong for reading. I am considering another LASIK am to bring my distance eye to 20/20 again.

LASIK question
It's now been 5 weeks since I had the procedure and my weaker eye still throws me off. It's like I focus out of that eye sometimes and things are wonky until I cover the weaker eye and refocus the stronger eye. I can tell that reading is better out of that eye though. I have another appointment in 3 months and I'll see how it is then - I might ask him to change so both are 20/20, but then I know I might have to start wearing reading glasses.
